Maple, our most recent species to add to our "repertoire".  Here we are, five years into this furniture biz, and my maple lumber is just now dry, and back from the kiln.  We have almost completed our first few tables (below) and they are looking good.  They should be ouf of the finishing room in the next few days, and we'll get some better pics for you.  Just like our other species, after milling the lumber into flitches, we debark the natural edges by hand, stack the lumber to dry for years (one year per inch of thickness), before kiln drying for a month or so.
