All things Southern

Southern thangs, much like many things, seem to be particularly mis-understood things.  I don't know, but i'm wondering if it has anything to do with folks from other parts of the country (and world) not having a clue what we are saying.

As a self appointed Southern advocate and ambassador, I'm looking forward to clearing the smoke on this page as well as on my blog from time to time.

I've asked a few of my Southern friends, who might be able to translate some of our ways, but I haven't had any takers so far.

So, for now, I'll start with some southern links, a southern calendar, some interesting southern folks around here.  I've found that "we all can really get along" quite well when we slow down, have a sip or two of something jack or black or of comfort, or if we enjoy a southern meal or two together.

Look for updates here to one of my favorite, but most misunderstood subjects.
