Our Story
At Robin Wade Furniture, every piece tells the story of its roots. Crafted from locally salvaged trees and transformed into timeless, one-of-a-kind designs, our work reflects a commitment to sustainability and artistry. For over 18 years, we’ve turned downed trees into stunning furniture that bridges the gap between rustic beauty and modern elegance.
Our Journey
Robin Wade’s passion for woodworking and sustainability began with a simple idea: to honor the natural beauty of every tree. From his “slow studio” in North Alabama, Robin carefully selects local, downed trees and transforms them into heirloom-quality furniture. Each piece is a testament to the beauty of nature and the craftsmanship that respects it.
"Robin takes downed trees and builds furniture that is at once rustic and modern, letting the trees speak for themselves."— Garden and Gun
Sustainability & Philosophy:
Sustainability is more than a principle at Robin Wade Furniture; it’s a way of life. By sourcing materials from local hardwoods, including walnut, cherry, maple, and oak, we ensure that each piece celebrates the beauty of the environment without compromising it. Every step, from harvesting to finishing, is done with respect for the wood’s natural story.
"Sustainability is just the beginning with Robin Wade's lovingly made 'rustic modern' wood furnishings." — Houzz.com
The Personal Touch
Our small, dedicated team—Robin, Sassafras (LogDog), and Oliver (LogDog apprentice)—ensures that every piece we craft receives the attention and care it deserves. The result? Furniture that’s as unique as the trees it comes from.
"Robin’s creative furniture is as unique as the trees from which it comes."
— Steve Ainsley, The Boston Globe
