Robin Wade Furniture offers internship experiences in the following areas:
Log to table since 2007. Every table is made from a local downed tree.
Woodworking & Furniture Making:
Learn the craft of transforming raw materials into beautiful, functional furniture pieces. Get hands-on with woodworking techniques, design processes, and furniture production.
We are celebrating our all pro LogDog Sassafras Wade’s 13th season.
Marketing: Explore the dynamic world of marketing and help us tell our brand story. Gain experience in:
Website design and SEO: Help us rebuild our website in the Squarespace 7.1 platform.
Social Media Marketing: If you love social media and want to use it in a real business environment, this might be for you.
LinkedIn Marketing: With Google's continued emphasis on building real relationships, LinkedIn is becoming the go-to platform for many. Robin has been growing his niche LinkedIn profile for 12+ years, currently has 14k 1st-degree connections primarily focused on architects and interior designers, and has a wealth of knowledge to share (we'll also be learning together!).
Professional Selling: Learn effective sales strategies, communication techniques, and develop your ability to connect with customers.
Singing River Music Production: Develop your passion for music production, sound engineering, and the creative process in our unique recording studio environment. Out of the creek, but immersed in the Tennessee River, you will be recording the natural sounds of our “Singing River” – the music emanating from the cracks of underwater caves.
We aren’t photographers, but we certainly take plenty of photos.
Note: We know nothing about music production or publishing. Very little about recording, although we have been recording or attempting to record the natural “music” in the Tennessee River for close to a decade . That means we’re hoping to recruit knowledgeable recording, production and publishing major’s to catch the wave. If not, between us and Google’s Gemini, i believe we might be able to make progress.
Music Recording: Excellent swimming skills required. Access to a GoPro or comparable video/audio recording device is needed.
Music Production: Help us produce the music from that emanate’s from our local “Singing River”.
Music Publishing: We recorded the natural river sounds, produced, now it’s your job to help us publish it.

Self-starters welcome: This internship, particularly the music project, is for self-starters. Although we've been recording this “music” for a decade, we are out of our element here. We're hoping to find a local music mentor for guidance and will work together to find the sweet spot of this project. Collaborations with local music mentors, musicians, and possibly a local band or percussion group are possible.
Unpaid Internships: Our internships focus on providing real-world experience and professional development.
No School Credit: While you may not receive direct academic credit, you'll gain a wealth of knowledge and a valuable addition to your resume and LinkedIn profile.
