2012 New American Home

RWF is excited to announce that several of our furniture pieces will be featured in the National Association of Homebuilder’s 2012 show house that focuses on environmentally friendly building and decorating products. Robin and the RWF crew have been working on a cocktail table for the home's second -floor landing seating area.  With that piece well under way, designer Rob Turner and Robin have decided to continue the collaboration and are working on a dining table and an office desk.

About the project: Now under construction near Orlando, Florida, The New American Home 2012 is a re-interpretation of the Classic White Box of the 1960s and ’70s made popular by leading architects such as Le Corbusier and Richard Meier. Phil Kean of Winter Park, Florida, the architect and builder of the 2012 home, seeks to honor the architecture of the past while taking advantage of current technologies and design trends. The latest green building products and methods are factored into every aspect of the home’s design.

About the show house program: Currently in its 29th year, The New American Home (TNAH) is constructed annually in conjunction with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders’ Show to showcase innovative construction technologies and the latest building products. NAHB will hold the 2012 International Builders’ Show in Orlando, February 8-11.
