Robin Wade Furniture at IHFC's Interhall

Robin Wade Furniture exhibiting in IHFC's InterhallA seed falls to the ground, germinates, and grows. As years pass, the tree becomes a fixture in its environment. A century later, the grand old tree is taken down to make room for humankind’s development.

In Florence, Alabama (and within just 60 miles of its studio), Robin Wade Furniture rescues trees with similar stories from the local landfill and, instead, gives them a second life as beautiful pieces of hand-crafted furniture. At IHFC’s Interhall (IH-200), Robin Wade Furniture will showcase works in Walnut that take Mother Nature’s decades of design and fashions each into functional art pieces—tables and chairs, benches and chaise lounges. Because, as wood artist Robin Wade says, “I have yet to find a better artist than Mother Nature.”
