A wonderful day with the late, famous
civil rights photo-journalist Charles Moore
Famous civil rights photographer Charles Moore honored Robin Wade Furniture with an unforgettable collaboration on a beautifully crisp November morning in 2008. Robin and Charles had been discussing working on a project together for months. “I had given up on the project ever coming to fruition,” Robin says.
Outside of Barton Hall, an historic 1840's plantation home near Cherokee, Alabama, on that November morning, the RWF team was working to obtain a tree that came down during a storm. The team members were just finishing a second cup of coffee when Charles called. Talk about perfect timing!
Soon, Charles arrived to document the team at work. What fun it was hearing about all of his adventures on shoots around the world, celebrities he knows, and exploits during his golden gloves days. What a treat watching a master at work. Thank you again Charles! To see more of this project, see the Barton Hall 1840's plantation home.
